Fabienne Romer, piano, was born 1984 in Lucerne Schweiz.
At the age of eight she was ready for her first piano lesson and
five years later she began her studies at the Conservatorie in Zürich.
In 2002 she c ontinued studies at the Academy of music in Zürich,
with professor Martin Christ and professor Homero Francesch.
She also took part in lied interpretation classes with Daniel Fueter
and Hans Adolfsen. Fabienne was given topp score for her diploma
concert 2007. She went on to Paris where she took part in classes
for Eugen Indjic and then to Stockholm and professor Staffan Scheja
at the Roayl academy of music. In Stockholm she also got the
opportunity to explore the Swedish lied repertory with professor
Olov Olofsson and ever since she has got a big compassion for
Swedish art songs. In Stockholm she took part in maste r classes
led by Petteri Saaloma, Tuija Hakkila, Anne Sofie von Otter and
Fabienne has received ceveral prizes in different piano and Lied-duo
competitions. Among them; “Bärenreiter Spezialpreis” år 2005,
"Förderpreis" in Kiwanis Lied duo-competition and 2010 as a finalist in
ARD competition for piano duos. She and her duo colleague received
the “Special Prize IFP”. Fabienne has performed as a soloist in piano
concerts by Beethoven, Mozart and Sjostakovich with orchestras like
Bern Music Academy and Capella de Giovanni, Zürich. In june 2011
Fabienne took a prestigious diploma in the Academy of Music in
Münich where she was coached by Helmut Deutsch.
